Synaptol Review For ADHD Symptom Relief
Synaptol is a homeopathic remedy designed for the relief of ADD/ADHD symptoms. Contrary to popular belief, this disorder affects both adults and children and it is multi-factorial to truly diagnose.
The symptoms for both children and adults are basically the same although they are observed in different ways. Inattentiveness being the primary symptom. Anyone who has ADD or ADHD will have a difficult time keeping their concentration on any task and this is where Synaptol may be of assistance.
Even the most focused individual may get distracted from time to time – that’s perfectly normal. If you have reasons to feel that this is becoming the rule rather than the exception, then you may be developing concerns. Have your health care professional make a professional diagnosis, before you go jumping to conclusions.
Synaptol for Children and Adults
Impulsiveness is a common symptom among both children and adults. This includes the tendency to interrupt other people who are having a conversation, making spur-of-the-moment decisions without carefully weighing the outcomes, blurting out inappropriate things without considering the feelings of others and so on.
Obviously, impulsive behavior, inattentiveness and other ADD/ADHD symptoms can have negative consequences. This is why people search for something to try and control their behavior.
As such, Synaptol can be administered to both children and adults for adhd symptom relief. Even children 2 and up can take Synaptol for symptom relief.
Natural Remedy for ADD/ADHD
Natural homeopathic remedies for ADD/ADHD are for those who prefer to use alternative medicines, rather than administering traditional prescription medications.
Many people prefer to use homeopathic formulas, especially for their children as the thought of traditional medications for behavioral issues is certainly cause for alarm, especially with all the bad press in regards to side effects.
Synaptol – Natural ADHD Medicine
Synaptol is formulated to ease adhd symptoms and provide relief from symptoms. Let’s take a little closer look at the types of symptoms and behaviors that may be causing problems.
- Impulsiveness – Being impulsive and impatient. Getting angry and frustrated, perhaps finishing others’ sentences for them. Answering questions before the question is fully asked. Often interrupts others and makes decisions based on an immediate urge instead of sensibility.
- Inattention – Easily distracted, difficulty following directions and finishing tasks, unorganized, has trouble focusing when others are talking, forgets daily tasks like taking medication or due dates on projects, misplaces items and frequent daydreaming.
- Hyperactivity – Uneasy, fidgety when should be sitting still, has difficulty staying seated for even short durations, very talkative and often inappropriately loud.
There is probably not one person that hasn’t experienced at least a few of these symptoms at one time or another. For some though, these symptoms are uncontrolled, untreated, undiagnosed and left to manifest themselves in every aspect of their life. Simple tasks like getting ready for work or finishing a homework assignment seem impossible. It’s like trying to drive through a thick fog.

Synaptol Ingredients, Side Effects and Dosage
Synaptol uses a homeopathic ingredient list with an oligotherapeutic base to ensure efficacy, quality and safety. As a sublingual preparation, there is no enormous pill to swallow and unlike the pharmaceutically engineered stimulants for ADD/ADHD treatment.
- There are no negative side effects, although sensitive people can experience a temporary worsening of symptoms with homeopathic medicines.
- Simply use 1 mL twice a day for an average adult (weight-based dosing) and an entire bottle will last a full month.
The ingredients in this product are natural and all used to promote overall health with a special regard to ADD/ADHD symptomatology.
Why I Prefer a Natural Remedy for ADHD
When you can make a few lifestyle modifications and perhaps try a few natural remedies for ADD/ADHD, there is no reason why you won’t observe changes. I truly believe natural medicines are the answer to most of our problems.
- I saw my nephew prescribed traditional medicines and then use natural remedies for his ADHD. He was terrible when on Ritalin and excellent when all areas of his life became “natural”.
Today, so many people disregard the benefits of natural treatments, due to so many ‘nay-sayers’. There are many natural treatments on the market and also many more prescription medications available today.
I am not trying to convince you of anything. I am not your doctor, I am just showing you alternative solutions. Ultimately, the choice is yours.
The makers of Synaptol – HelloLife – offer easy and convenient ordering and very economical pricing. They also provide world-wide shipping in a confidential plain package, plus they give a 60-day guarantee. They offer a risk-free purchase with the potential to find the solution you are looking for.
I learned about Synaptol in 2010 and in that time I have received positive reviews and feedback from my own website visitors. You can read their Synaptol reviews below. Every question I have asked Hellolife, on behalf of ‘you’ my visitors, they have answered. I don’t have the qualifications to answer them, and you will see their responses down the bottom of the page.
Myths and Facts About ADHD – My Thoughts
Have you heard these sayings…are they myths or facts?
- ADHD is a label for people with bad behavior.
This is not true. ADHD is not about bad behavior or bad parenting. It is a real disorder that needs to be addressed to give the person a better quality of life.
- ADHD is from too much sugar or red fizzy drinks.
This is one of the biggest myths. Diet plays a huge part in many health problems, but eating or drinking sugary foods does not cause ADHD. It may cause extra bursts of energy…but it does not cause ADHD.
- ADHD Medication helps a patient to relax.
Another myth. ADHD medication is designed to create alertness, not relax a patient.
Have you heard others? Please let me know! I hope you enjoyed these myths and the real facts about ADHD!

Is Synaptol alright to give children too? I want to buy this for me, but my five year old daughter is suffering from ADD and I hate the idea of giving her any prescription medication.
I have always used homeopathic remedies and am hoping this will suit her too.
Hi Sandra,
This is taken from the official website:
Q: Can children take Synaptol?
A: Yes, Synaptol is formulated for safe and effective ADD/ADHD symptom relief in adults and children over age 2.
If you like using homeopathic remedies then you will be pleased to know the active ingredients are homeopathically formulated for safe and effective symptom relief.
If you have anymore questions, don’t hesitate to ask me.
Hi Jennifer,
Can teenagers take Synaptol? Also, has anyone reported to have any side effects after taking Synaptol?
Thanks,
Jack
Hi Jack,
Yes, teenagers can take Synaptol as it is safe for children over the age of two and also suitable for providing adult ADD/ADHD symptom relief.
“Q. Does Synaptol come with side effects?”
A. “According to the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM), a systematic review found homeopathic products such as Synaptol to be generally safe and unlikely to cause severe adverse reactions when taken as directed. Synaptol contains no alcohol, making it superior to many other OTC homeopathic formulations in that regard.”
There has been no reported incidences of any negative side effects to date, which is why I prefer natural medicines.
I hope that helps answer your questions Jack,
Jennifer
Hi Jennifer and Sandra,
My son is 7 years old and he is suffering from ADHD. I also hate the idea of medicating my son as well. I would like to try something natural. How long has your child been taking Synaptol and what are your thoughts on that?
Thank you.
Hi Gina,
I hope Sandra comes back to read this page to answer for you. I would love anyone to come back with their results, but usually you only hear the negatives and not the positives.
That said, I have not had a negative comment ever! I have been promoting Synaptol for a year now and I am very happy doing so. As you can see there are a lot of questions and I am assuming a lot of happy people. It is not my company, so I am not an owner, but I am putting my reputation on the line, suggesting a product to my readers. (I do make a commission if a sale is made, but I only promote what I am prepared to stand behind.)
I also know that people with a problem, make a lot of noise and I have not had one person come back to me saying it hasn’t helped them or their child.
I can say if I or my child suffered with ADD or ADHD I would certainly be trying Synaptol for all the reasons you used.
If you do have any questions…any at all, please ask me and I will either answer myself if I can or ask their homeopathic experts for you.
Jennifer
my question is if my son has allergies to pollen, is there pollen in these minute extractions, that will cause an allergic reaction. MY biggest concern is his health over all.
Hi Hope, I’ve sent your question to the makers of Synaptol and as soon as I hear from them I will let you know!
Hi Hope, I have just heard back, and this is their reply:
“Many of the remedies in this formula are plant based. And if the ingredients use the “flowering parts” (or whole plant) of the plant, then there is the possibility that the original source material contained pollen at the point of trituration.
We would point out that the concentration at a 10X is less than 1 part per billion. More importantly: The Law of Similars in homeopathy (“Like cures like”) means that very often the remedy for our symptoms is found in the very thing that is the cause of our symptoms.
The fact that this person is sensitive to pollens means that the very best remedies for him might be plant or pollen based.
That is why King Bio’s regional allergies formulas contain the homeopathically potentized regional allergens right in the formula, and why our Poison Ivy Relief contains homeopathically extracted poison ivy (Rhus Tox).”
I hope that helps answer your question. Thank you!
I used to have ADHD and exercise heavily (average of 2 hours a day). Trust me, exercise is more than just “helpful.” Moderate, regular exercise is extremely helpful. Heavy, intense, regular exercise + ADHD = superman (NOT kidding at all).
If you have ADHD, exercise is almost like insulin for a diabetic – if you don’t have it, you’re as good as dead.
I am very pleased to hear you exercise. Everyone should, even if they don’t have ADD/ADHD symptoms.
My son is 10 yrs and is diagnosed with adhd. I would like to try this product, but I would like to know how long a dose will last, because he would be in school. Thanks.
Hi Reviaca,
Every person is different, but the dosage is only twice a day. If he took a dose before school, it should last him through his school day. Other parents have told their success stories with formerly problem children at school.
I am very happy promoting this homeopathic remedy. Neither of my children have been diagnosed with ADD or ADHD, but if they did, I would be giving Synaptol every chance to prove itself before submitting to a prescription medication.
The reported long term effects of some ADD/ADHD medications frighten me.
Hi I am a mother that has a 8yr old son and just want to tell you i put my son on generic ritalin and he was only on it for about 2mths. It really helped him on his tasks at school he was all happy and me to. But I made the wrong choice, my poor baby started to lose weight and started to get fevers vomit and stomach pains. my son is super healthy ever since he was born not a child to get sick 3 times in a month. So just want to let you know before you do go on those meds. If I would have kept leaving him on them I know I could lose my son. His appetite just stopped and he was not getting all the nutrient he need in his body. So I am going to try this SYNAPTOL its looks with good results. I have to find something for my son. GOOD LUCK
Hi Patty,
Thank you for sharing your son’s results with taking Ritalin…another sad story. Your sons side effects of this medication, certainly do not match any Synaptol side effects I am pleased to say.
I am sure not only me, but everyone reading this will be wishing you and your son ‘good luck’ and good health. I would love to hear your results if you do decide to buy it.
I am a 20 yr. old college student who, unfortunately, found out I am 85% Inattentive ADD with also Impulsivity. I was diagnosed last summer, July 2010, after being suspended after my first year in college. I have been on 30mg of Adderall XR and 20mg of Ritalin(in late afternoon). Since January 2011, I have not been able to sleep and my stimulants have not been working at all to their ability…I have been procrastinating and forgetting test information and it is frustrating.
My concern is, since I have a high tolerance to stimulants and narcotics, will Synaptol work form me? Because I would surely love to not be able to have to take pills, especially since they are not working. Or at least take less pills, if Synaptol can be added with stimulants at a decreased dose?
Hi Tiffany,
As I am someone that prefers to use natural medicines, I wish I could say, yes, use this natural treatment for ADD…BUT…you are under the care of a health care professional who knows your medical history and you are taking prescribed medications.
On the Synaptol website there is this FAQ and I quote…
Q: Can I safely take Synaptol with medications?
A: The ingredients in Synaptol are natural and safe, but if you are currently taking prescription medications, we recommend you consult your health care professional before use.
I have a concern too. If your current medications are not working and you do not like taking them, have you spoken to your doctor about this? I wish I could better advise you, but I am not in a position to do that. You need to speak to your doctor first.
I would really appreciate you coming back and sharing your progress. I know your doctor wouldn’t prescribe natural remedies for ADD, but they are concerned that you get the right treatment…and so am I.
Jennifer
Dear Jennifer,
I have ordered a 30 day supply of Synaptol and should receive it next week; and am very excited to try this alternative to stimulants. I have not spoken to my physician yet, but her previous advice was giving me a name of a Psychiatrist specializing in ADHD and to not take my Ritalin in the late afternoon but I have classes at 6:00pm and cannot focus already.
I have decided instead, because I do not want to continue to try different stimulants, to see a Neuro therapist and take Synaptol in order to naturally focus and control my brain waves at my will. Hopefully this will be a great combination in order for my grades to increase again and for me not to procrastinate anymore; also…maybe I can sleep again.
Thank you for all of your help &; i did not see that on the Synaptol website when i was looking for it! That was very helpful &; i will keep you updated on how Synaptol affects me during the rest of my semester.
Thank You Again!
Tiffany Harriman
I look forward to hearing from you Tiffany! Keep us all updated, as your progress will help many people who have similar questions.
Also, good luck with your grades and let us know how they go as well!
Tiffany I was just curious after reading your comments, how has the Synaptol been working for you since your purchase in February? I am thinking about putting my son on this and would really like to know if it works!!
Hi Tammy,
I will try to contact Tiffany for you as I realize she may not know you have asked her this question. I can tell you that although most people don’t come back and say something works I have seen repeat sales for Synaptol which only tells me one thing…
Tammy!
Tiffany has left another comment! Look further down here.
Hi everyone, I would just like to say I am always happy for you to ask me questions, that I may not have covered in my Synaptol review. I know many people would want to know if Synaptol really works or if it will work for their own particular circumstance. If you would like to know more either ask me, or click the link below.
I have started my son who is 7 years old on this and he has been on it about 4 days and he seems to be worse and he is kind of grumpy is this normal he has ADHD
Hi Crystal,
I can ask the makers directly for you if you like, however, I did look on their website and in the FAQ section it says:
Because every person is different, however, the exact time taken for relief is indefinable. Synaptol functions best in a body free of underlying conditions, which can hinder the body’s ability to achieve balance. A healthy lifestyle that observes proper nutrition and regular exercise is essential in order to experience the results of Synaptol.
I know I’ve contacted them before about the same question and they have said that if you can’t see any improvement at all within the first 30 days, you can use their satisfaction guarantee and return the product.
Also, sometimes homeopathic products can make symptoms appear worse before they get better.
As I said, I am happy to contact them for you, as I am not a doctor or the manufacturer of Synaptol…so I am just providing the information I already have at my fingertips.
I hope that helps! Jennifer
I have been giving this to my son today makes 3 days. Yesterday he started complaining with his belly hurting. Could this cause his stomach to hurt? i have already noticed a change in his behavior. I really hope this is not the cause, but he wasn’t complaining of his belly hurting until I started giving this to him.
Hi Amanda,
Firstly, it may be that your son is experiencing detoxification symptoms. Having an upset stomach is a symptom of a body detoxification and some people feel the effects of this. Here is one of the frequently asked questions on the official website…which I will quote.
———-
Q. “Will this product cause me to experience detoxification symptoms?”
A. “The oligotherapeutic liquid base of this product is OTC formulated to initiate a seamless detoxification process, but some sensitive bodies may experience initial detoxification effects. As minerals begin to activate enzymes and chelate toxins and metals, sensitive bodies may experience mild acute symptoms of sores in the mouth (similar to ones caused by eating excessive salty or acidic foods) or loose stools.
Help your body through this process by adding more fibrous raw fruits and vegetables to your diet during this time. Symptoms should last only 24 hours.”
———-
Secondly, I am so pleased you are already seeing results in his behavior. On a personal basis, if I do anything that causes a detox effect, my stomach reacts terribly. (I am one of the sensitive ones.) Hopefully his stomach cramps (which is what I am assuming it is) will pass soon.
You could also stop his dose, to determine if it is Synaptol or just coincidence, although it most probably is a symptom your son is experiencing from taking a new homeopathic medicine, as some individuals do.
If you would like anymore information Amanda, please let me know. Also, I would be interested to hear about your son’s progress.
All the best,
Jennifer
Have been giving my son Gaba, should I discontinue the Gaba before I start the Synaptol?
Hi Tonia,
I am not in a position to give you strict advise, but I can provide you with information that may help you to decide.
If your health care professional recommended your son to take Gaba, then I would ask their advise. If you made the decision yourself, like choosing to perhaps use Synaptol, then what I said to Tiffany above may help you.
Synaptol is a homeopathic medicine and “The ingredients in Synaptol are natural and safe, but if you are currently taking prescription medications, we recommend you consult your health care professional before use.”
Jennifer
I started giving my 6 year old daughter Synaptol Sunday night. It has helped dramatically in her whining, tantrums and overall concentration. However, today she went to the nurses office in school twice complaining of a “pounding in her head”. Are headaches a common side effect? I really like our results so far with her on this but just want to be aware of anything I should watch for and what to do in case of something like this. Thanks 🙂
Hi Brandi,
I am glad to hear you are seeing positive results in your daughter. The headaches could quite possibly be a detoxification side effect, as homeopathic medicines can cause detoxification symptoms.
As far as anything else to watch out for, everyone is different. As Amanda said above, her son experienced stomach aches when she started administering Synaptol. I haven’t heard anymore, so I am assuming his upset tummy has gone.
Homeopathic medicines don’t have the negative side effects as do prescription drugs, although sensitive bodies can experience aggravation from homeopathic formulas and usually it is only temporary.
I’d be interested to hear more from you and other people would be too!
Jennifer
I will continue giving it to her for a week to see if things change. Detoxification shouldn’t last longer than that should it? I will let you know how things work out. Thank you for such a fast response 🙂
Detox time frames are different for everyone…I only have to compare mine to my husband’s…he is so quick to get over any symptoms!
Anyway, a week is certainly long enough for your daughter. If her headaches worsen though, I would stop for a few days. That way you can see if it is the Synaptol causing the problem and not something else.
I certainly can’t wait to hear from you!
I am worried with the first ingredient in Synaptol. Accotinum Ferox. It is the most poisinous plant. Can this have a negative effect for the brain after a while?
Hi Maria,
I wanted to answer this myself, but decided to get the answer from the experts. Here is their reply…
“Acotinum Ferox is safe in a highly diluted homeopathic formulation such as Synaptol. The same goes for all of the ingredients in Synaptol which are all FDA-approved active homeopathic ingredients.”
Homeopathic medicine uses the law of similars, whereby “like treats like.”
There are many ingredients used to treat a wide array of illnesses or conditions, that at first may appear to be dangerous. The difference between a cure and a poison is often as simple as how much. One example well known to most of the population in mainstream medicine, is the use of warfarin. In small doses it is used to prevent heart attacks, in large doses it becomes a major component in rat poison.
In so many areas of our life too much of something is not necessarily better.
If anyone is worried about any of the Synaptol ingredients or if you have questions you would like answered, please click the link below or post your questions for me.
My seven year old son is having behavioural issues at school, shows some attention issues and seems to have minor impairment of his gross motor skills. He hasn’t been diagnosed with ADHD or ADD, but it’s possible that he may have mild DAMP (Deficits in Attention, Motor Control & Perception). He is currently being evaluated by a pediatrician.
If he is dignosed with DAMP, is Synaptol an option for treatment? I am loathe to consider Ritalin. As there seems to be a significant amount of mis-diagnosis with regard to ADHD/ADD/DAMP, is treatment with Synaptol detrimental if he’s later found to be not suffering any of these conditions?
Hi Steve,
Your question is another one I sought to get the answer from the experts at HelloLife and here is their answer.
“Synaptol is natural (contains natural ingredients) and safe. It is effective for individuals who are experiencing one or more of the symptoms listed within the “Indications by Ingredient” section of Synaptol.com. An individual can confidently try Synaptol and if a positive response to the medicine is not experienced, the individual can stop taking it at any time.
It is formulated to relieve ADHD/ADD symptoms. I would suggest having the parent take a look at the indications listed on Synaptol.com to determine whether it might help their seven year old with the symptoms he is experiencing: See Indications By Ingredient.”
If you visit the link for the ingredients, you will see the ‘Indications by Ingredient’ link at the bottom of the label. It has a very large list of symptoms.
I hope this has helped you Steve.
You seem to have answered every ones questions and also mine, therefore I am keen to try this homeopathic remedy. Anyone who has gone to the amount of effort you have, in answering every ones questions so precisely, is obviously impressed with what it can do.
Hi Jasmine,
I am impressed with this remedy.
I have not had one person come back to me expressing negative results and usually when someone is unhappy they do protest loudly!
For that matter I have not had people return with their comments, but I can tell you honestly, that people do make repeat orders, so to me, that is positive feedback.
Hopefully you experience positive results and come back to let us know!
HI,
I guess that you can apparently experience worse symptoms before they get better when first starting Synaptol. How long with the worse symptoms appear and how long will it take before seeing results in my 9 year old son? Also- he suffers from not paying attention and having poor concentration at school, but he is not hyperactive..is this the right product for him? And is there a limit to the length of time that you can be on this before you should stop taking it? Thanks!
Hi Diane,
I can directly ask the experts of the product if you would like more clarification, but I can also provide you with a few answers from their own FAQ’s. So please let me know if you would like more information than what their FAQ’s provide.
Q. “I guess that you can apparently experience worse symptoms before they get better when first starting Synaptol. How long with the worse symptoms appear…”
Q. “… and how long will it take before seeing results in my 9 year old son?”
A. “Synaptol is designed to start working quickly to relieve your symptoms. For many individuals, results will be apparent within a few hours of the first dose. Because every person is different, however, the exact time taken for full relief is indefinable.”
Q. “Also- he suffers from not paying attention and having poor concentration at school, but he is not hyperactive..is this the right product for him?”
A. “Safely and quickly relieves ADD / ADHD symptoms including hyperactivity, inattentiveness, poor concentration, and difficulty reading and writing.”
Diane, Synaptol helps relieve the symptoms your son is experiencing. So although he doesn’t have all the symptoms mentioned (lucky for you and him) it is still designed for someone that exhibits these symptoms.
Q. “And is there a limit to the length of time that you can be on this before you should stop taking it?”
A. “Synaptol functions best in a body free of underlying conditions, which can hinder the body’s ability to achieve balance. A healthy lifestyle that observes proper nutrition and regular exercise is essential in order to experience the fast acting results of Synaptol. We recommend allowing a three to six month Synaptol regimen before expecting full results.”
Diane, the length of time varies. As you can see above they have suggested to allow 3-6 months for optimum results. This is because it is ‘helping the body and mind to regain control’ but of course everyone is different.
There is no limit to the length of time that it can be taken mentioned on their website, but certainly after using it for 3-6 months, you would know if you wanted to continue using it, or you may find, you no longer even need to administer it at all.
Again, if I have not answered your questions to your satisfaction, please let me know and I will make further inquiries on your behalf.
I came across this website again and used Synaptol from February while starting Neurotherapy. The Synaptol was a HUGE success in my focus in college classes and I ended the semester with three B’s and one C. My family was proud and my mother was relieved to see that I could focus without the side effects of my Adderall and Ritalin. I had no more insomnia when I switched to Synaptol and although I do not need any medication anymore, thanks to neurotherapy, I would definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone!
Tiffany, that’s wonderful! Thank you so much for leaving your comment…and finding me again!
I am so excited for you and so pleased that it has helped you in such a positive way. No wonder your family are so proud. I am too.
I am smiling from ear to ear! I love hearing a happy ending. 🙂
Hi,
I had one more question…I guess what I was trying to ask in my previous post is …will the body ever develop a resistance to this product if you are on it for a long time and therefore the product would stop working? Thanks
Hi Diane,
I decided to send this question to the experts to get clarification and have received this response.
“”Most people find the effect is more pronounced with time. Synaptol is intended to provide temporary relief from the symptoms indicated. Under normal circumstances, if you find relief, it will continue to work for you.
If the symptoms cease to exists, either because the body has returned to a balanced state or the stimulus causing the symptoms has been eliminated, no further relief will be provided.
You will not notice an increase in focus over what your balanced level of focus should be. If the stimulus producing symptoms changes or becomes more severe, the symptoms may change and Synaptol may become more or less effective, depending on how the new symptoms fit into the bracket of indications.”
Hopefully, that has helped answer your question. The simple answer is the body will not develop a resistance to Synaptol. This is not to say that Synaptol will always be permanently effective (although in most cases it will) if the underlying causes change.
Again, if you have more questions, please ask me.
Jennifer
I just ordered two bottles of Synaptol to try with my 10 year old son and my 5 year old daughter. I am very excited to see if this product helps them. They have never been on meds, and I really didn’t want to go that route. We have done dietary changes, supplements, etc, but nothing fully helps enough as they need. I have heard that drinking black coffee may help them to remain calm and focused as well. Would this interact with the Synaptol? I can’t wait to get it! I am probably going to try it myself as well. Blessings.
Hi Tina,
Many people say they have used coffee for ADHD with good results, others hate the thought of giving coffee to young children. There is no hard and fast rule scientifically.
The coffee shouldn’t interact with the Synaptol, otherwise the makers would have stipulated that it did. The majority of the population drink coffee daily and therefore the effects would be noticed.
I would love to hear your results, so please let me know.
I am also glad to see you are trying natural medicines first.
My daughter has been taking 20mg adderal daily. I would like her to start taking Synaptol because of bad side effects of Adderal. I asked our doctor how to switch, but he does not believe in natural medicines. Can you please tell me how we should switch from Adderal to Synaptol safely.”
Thank you, Eva.
Hi Eva,
I have just forwarded your question to the homeopathic doctors of HelloLife, the makers of Synaptol.
I should have an answer for you shortly.
Jennifer
Hi Eva,
I have just received their response…
“Synaptol, an FDA-registered OTC medicine, can safely be used in conjunction with other medications, as none of the ingredients are reported to have any interactions with prescription or OTC drugs. We do not encourage people to stop using their current prescription ADHD medicine, rather we ask them to inform their physician of their choice to use natural products.”
I realize they have not said ‘how’ to make the change, but they are not legally allowed to either.
Thank you for your information, I will inform you about result….Eva
I look forward to hearing from you again Eva.
Jennifer,
I would like to try Synaptol for my 9yr old son. He is currently on Keppra for absence seizures. Would the ingredients interact with each other negatively? He is more on the inattentive side than hyper on the most part.
Thanks
Hi Andrea,
I asked for the answer to this question too. This is the reply I was given:
“Synaptol, an FDA-registered OTC medicine, can safely be used in conjunction with other medications, as none of the ingredients are reported to have any interactions with prescription or OTC drugs. We do not encourage people to stop using their current prescription medicine, rather we ask them to inform their physician of their choice to also use a natural product.”
Can I use this while taking RX pain meds?
Hi John,
The response given to Eva (the comment directly above) will help answer your question.
Can you drink juices with Synaptol?
Hi Eva,
I asked about this one for you too. Here is their response:
“Synaptol, an FDA-registered OTC medicine, is natural(contains natural ingredients) and safe. None of the ingredients are reported to have any adverse interactions with juices. An individual can confidently try Synaptol and if a positive response to the medicine is not experienced, the individual can stop at any time.”
Andrea, in case you can’t see where I answered you…it is ‘here.’
Thank you Jennifer, I saw your response. 🙂
My son is 9 years old and was diagnosed with ADHD officially last year but started demonstrating symptoms as a toddler. He was on Adderall for 6 months last school year. It helped his focus but he became very moody and couldn’t sleep. I took him off of it over the summer and he started 4th grade in August with out meds. I promised his father that I would try a natural remedy before going the prescription drug route again.
I bought Synaptol and Smarty Pants Vitamins and he has been taking them for about two weeks. I started seeing good changes last week but it was too late to affect his interim report card that came out on Wednesday. He got ‘green’ (daily behavior monitoring) on Thursday and Friday of last week and today, which is unusual for him, he rarely gets better than a yellow. Also, he has not been resisting homework time at home on those days.
I don’t want to jinx us but I think the Synaptol is working. He has had a few tummy aches but nothing terrible. His first interim of the school year was 3 F’s, 1 D, and 1 C. The real proof on whether or not this treatment helps will be when the next interim grades come out. I will try to remember to come back and post in December. Please wish us luck! Oh, and one more thing. My son is extremely intelligent and capable of doing the work, he is just extremely distracted and chatty.
Hi Lori,
I am so pleased to hear that you are seeing positive changes in your son and I am sure you won’t jinx yourself. I believe you are witnessing the positive results you desire and I would love it if you come back and give me an update!
I am also pleased you were proactive in trying natural remedies. You ‘all’ need to be congratulated.
Thanks again Lori for giving us your son’s progress report, I look forward to hearing from you again!
Jennifer
Your Synaptol review is excellent and I have found your review and comments left by your readers have answered so many of my questions. I had heard about this product and wondered if it was just for children or if it was also used to treat adult ADHD.
Now to see if it will work for me!
Hi Mandy,
I am so pleased your questions have already been answered and I am full of confidence that it will work for you too. You can certainly let me know your results!
I was searching for a natural remedy for my 9 year old son and came upon the website for Synaptol. He has not been tested for ADD or ADHD, but is very chatty and fidgety and I have been getting reports from school. His work is good, but he is disruptive and shouts out in class. I am eager to try Synaptol after hearing all the good feedback. One thing I didn’t see were any allergy warnings. My son has peanut and sesame seed allergy. Is it safe to take Synaptol? Also, does Synaptol cause drowsiness? Thank you in advance.
Michele
Hi Michele,
I have referred your question to the makers of Synaptol. As soon as I have a response from them I will post their answer.
Hi Michele,
I have just received their response.
“Synaptol, an FDA-registered OTC medicine, is natural(contains natural ingredients) and safe. None of the ingredients are reported to have caused an adverse reaction in individuals who suffer from food allergies. A full list of Synaptol’s FDA approved active homeopathic ingredients can be found at Synaptol.com. We encourage people to inform their physician of their choice to use a natural product.”
just gave my 15 year old daughter synaptol for the first time yesterday evening. she was up sick at her stomach last night. is nausea or vomiting a side affect of taking synaptol? if so how long will this last?
she will not take it if it causes her to be sick….what to do what to do???
Hi Bonnie,
It can be a detoxing effect, but you can read this comment ‘here‘ for more information. I certainly don’t blame her not wanting to take it if it makes her feel sick, but you can try adding more fruits and vegetables to her diet as suggested.
The first step is to determine (as also said in that comment) if it is the Synaptol or something else, just by sheer coincidence.
For example right now where I live, vomiting and diarrhea outbreaks are on the rise due to the time of year, although it may certainly be the detoxing effect.
Let me know how you go and if you would like more information I will contact the manufacturers for further advice.
I will certainly do my best to help you find the answer to solve her problem.
hello happy new year to yous all
alfie
Thanks Alfie! Happy New Year to you too!
I am considering giving this to my 8 yr old as she has issues focusing in school as well as staying on task etc. Can you tell me why you would recommend this product over others such as Native Remedies FOCUS or Concentration Essentials? Also can you tell me what the taste is like? I am hoping it is not bad.
Thanks!
Hi Veronica,
I was asked about a month ago to review both the two products you have mentioned, (by someone else who sent me a private email.) They ended up purchasing Synaptol, so I haven’t as yet done the research into the two individual products.
I promote the companies you mention though, because I have had wonderful dealings with them both. I have never had a bad experience with any of them.
Synaptol just happened to be the first product bought to my attention by one of my visitors (almost 2 years ago.) In that time, I have promoted the product and not once has anyone had bad results. Therefore I have been happy to continue.
That said, I would happily review the other formulas. Homeopathic and herbal remedies are something I could research all day!
So, I like all three companies and the Synaptol company has been amazing. As you can see by all the comments, whenever I ask a question, I get an immediate answer.
As for the taste, I was asked if it could be put into juice and I was informed it was fine to do so, therefore if the taste was unpleasant for your daughter, you could administer it that way.
I haven’t tasted it myself, but I believe that most adults and children don’t find the taste unpleasant.
If you would like me to contact them for a definite answer, I will certainly do that for you.
I have been diagnosed with ADHD and I am attending college. My doctor gave me adderall and it helped my schoolwork so much but it made my relationship with my boyfried of four years go downhill so quickly. I was angry all of the time for no reason at all. I have decided to try synaptol but im kind of worried about it. How long does it take to start working? Should i take it a few hours before i got to class? or does it work quicker than that? Also does it change moods quickly? haha Sorry so many questions but i dont want to risk wasting my money on something that makes me angry all of the time.
Hi Alyssa,
I can certainly understand all the questions, for one who wants to be angry at any time!
So let’s break down your questions and I will provide the answers to your questions directly from the official Synaptol website.
1. How long does it take to start working? Should i take it a few hours before i got to class? or does it work quicker than that?
“Synaptol is designed to start working quickly to relieve your symptoms. For many individuals, results will be apparent within a few hours of the first dose. ”
So perhaps you could try taking it a few hours before your class and see how long it takes before it helps you. You can then gauge your administration time.
2. Also does it change moods quickly?
Many people experience a calming effect straight away. You certainly don’t have to wait weeks before you see results. There are many reviews on the website that testify to that.
Lastly, (although this was not a question) I am always saddened to hear how medications that are prescribed for ADD or ADHD exhibit side effects in other areas of a person’s behavior.
In all the years I have recommended Synaptol, not once have I heard of negative side effects such as that. The only side effect I know of, (as it can be with all homeopathic remedies) is there can be a temporary ‘homeopathic aggravation’ whereby some people can experience a detoxing effect.
I hope that helps you Alyssa and if you do decide to go ahead with your purchase, I would love to hear your results…whether it be in a day, a week or a month or whatever.
All the best,
Jennifer
This does help me so much!! Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions. I will definitely let you know how it goes! 🙂
I look forward to hearing from you soon Alyssa.
For anyone wanting to know more about Synaptol as a natural ADHD medicine, either ask me, or click the link below.
I am just wondering if Synaptol can have a reverse reaction. I have been giving this to my Grand daughter for about 2 month now and her grades have droped 20 points and her teachers say she is not paying attention in school at all. We started this as an alternative to perscribed meds that our insurance will not cover anymore. She can not swollow pills and we don’t have many options. Thanks so much for your time.
Hi Brenda,
I haven’t heard of this happening before, so I have forwarded your question on. As soon as I receive their reply I will post it here for you.
I am pleased to hear you did take the steps to try a natural product like Synaptol. I saw what prescription medications for ADHD did to my nephew and I would never give them to my own children.
So here is hoping for a positive response to your question. Perhaps it is not Synaptol that is causing the problem, but a reaction to the taking off of the prescription medications.
I tend to believe that it is more a reaction and the horrible side effects to the stopping of the prescription, but that is only my opinion…we will wait to hear what the homeopaths have to say.
Hi Brenda,
I have just received their response to your question.
“Synaptol, an FDA-registered OTC medicine, is natural (contains natural ingredients) and safe.
None of the ingredients are reported to cause reverse reactions. Note that if the stimulus producing the ADD/ADHD symptoms in the individual has changed or become more severe, the symptoms may change and Synaptol may become more or less effective, depending on how the new symptoms fit into the bracket of indications. An individual can confidently try Synaptol and if a positive response to the medicine is not experienced, the individual can stop taking Synaptol at any time.”
They also said, “You may also wish to refer this person to our customer service team for further insight on product usage/dosage.”
So if you would like to contact them directly, you can do so here. Contact.
I have been re-reading your question over and over and it still makes me feel that it is not the Synaptol causing a reverse reaction, but the stopping of the prescription medications leaving her system.
I am also confident that should your grand-daughter cease taking Synpatol the symptoms will probably persist until the body system has recovered from withdrawal symptoms related to the prescription medication.
Certainly for your own peace of mind you may wish to try this in the short term. As pointed out by the customer service team there will be no negative effects from either ceasing or restarting Synaptol.
Again that is only my opinion…but I have seen it before. Either way, I sincerely hope your grand-daughter’s grades improve and that you see continual and ongoing improvement.
If I can be of any help or support to you, please let me know.
Jennifer
Hi I just purchased this for my son. How long does it take to see a difference?
a week, two weeks a month? I just want to know the average. It has only been three days so far.
Thank you
Nelly
Hi Nelly,
I have actually contacted Synaptol on a few occasions asking this very question for others, such as Alyssa and also Diane.
For example…
As I do not know an average time frame, I will use my own family as an average when experiencing the effects of homeopathic formulas. My husband actually takes a couple of weeks, but I am happy to say he does feel the benefits eventually and one of my sons is about 2 days.
For me, it can be a day to a week, depending on what it is, so I would say an average for my household would be about a week.
You haven’t mentioned your son experiencing any detoxing side effects, so I feel positive you will see results soon, based on my own families experiences with homeopathic formulas.
I have read so many Synaptol reviews wondering if this could possibly be the help my daughter needs. All these questions people have asked you have actually answered! They have helped to answer some of my own questions. I actually think I will try it because you seem to really care.
Hi Janie,
I am so glad my review helped you, but more importantly I am pleased your own questions have been answered.
On another note, yes I really do care and I thank you for noticing. 🙂
Hi, my daughter is taking Synaptol 10-th month, but last month I was giving her Synaptol not regularly and I can see difference since then/she slow down. I want yours opinion. She has ADD and can she be on Synaptol all the times? Looks like it works if she taking regularly. Can she take Synaptol 3x daily? Thank you Eva.
Hi Eva,
Rather than give you my opinion, I will send your question to the makers of Synaptol right now. As soon as I receive their response I will post it here.
Hi Eva,
I have received their reply…
“The recommended dosage for an individual 50+ lbs is 2 mL twice daily. However our usage guide states that “You may increase dosage to 3x per day until symptoms improve or as directed by your physician.”
You may wish to refer this customer to our FAQ and Usage Guide on Synaptol.com and also mention that they can always contact the HelloLife customer service team with any product-related questions.”
I hope that helps you Eva.
Hi Jennifer, thank you.I read usage guide,it is 1 ml twice daily but I will contact customer service thank you EVA
Very good. That way you will have the exact answers for your daughter’s needs.
Hi! I am considering trying Synaptol, I have been diagnosed with ADD as an adult (43), and have not had luck with any treatment. I tried Neurofeedback for a long time, to no avail. I briefly tried Adderall and Ritalin with no luck either.
My ADD is severe and affects my life in many ways. I am frustrated and not sure where to turn next.
Please comment as to whether you think it might help me. I appreciate it.
Hi Mel,
I am a ‘natural medicine’ girl and I shudder when I hear the words Adderall and Ritalin.
Life has no guarantees but there is a huge list of people whose lives have been changed for the better by Synaptol. I do realize that in your situation half of your mind is desperate to try anything while the other (more rational?) half is naturally cautious or even suspicious.
From my perspective it is wiser to be more cautious of the manufactured prescription drugs as opposed to the natural alternative.
I could say that’s just me, but the testimonials speak for themselves.
My son has ADHD and drugs like Ritalin helped during some odd hours however once it was out of his system he was a wreck, I definitely need to check into herbal remedies for ADHD. Great article, very useful info.
Hi Sharon,
I’m glad the article has shown how natural ADHD treatments are indeed an option for both adults and children. I personally am so opposed to prescription medications such as Ritalin as I saw the side effects it had on my own nephew.
Thankfully now, his mother uses natural treatments.
Hi my grandson has ADHD he is 17 years old I would like to try this but he is taking zyprexa for anger issues can he still take Synaptol?
Hi Linda,
I just asked about your question and they sent me back a reply:
“This is really the only answer we can give on that as there are thousands of medications on the market and technically we cannot give medical advice. This is directly from our FAQ:
Q: Can I safely take Synaptol with medications?
A: The ingredients in Synaptol are natural and safe, but if you are currently taking prescription medications, we recommend you consult your health care professional before use.”
They also said, “You may wish to refer this visitor to our entire Synaptol FAQ to help them make a decision on whether to try the product. You could also recommend that they call to speak with a product specialist.”
If you would like to call directly, the number is on this banner…or if you would like to read all the FAQ’s just click this banner and it will take you to the official website where you will see the FAQ tab…
I would love to hear from you again Linda if you have any more questions…or if you decide to try…your results!
Thanks again,
Jennifer
My daughter has been taking Synaptol for about 3 weeks now. Her teacher says her attention span is really bad. She isn’t completing her classwork and talks alot. How long does it take for this to work before I say it isn’t working? I really don’t want to put her back on meds.
Hi Theresa,
Homeopathic medicines work differently on everyone. On the Synaptol website in their FAQ section there is a question, “How soon can I expect to see results from Synaptol?”
The official website says:
“A: Synaptol is designed to start working with your body to relieve your symptoms. For many individuals, results will be apparent within a few hours of the first dose.
We encourage you to take Synaptol twice daily for 30 days to begin experiencing the results desired. If you cannot see improvement in the first 30 days, you are welcome to take advantage of our 60-day satisfaction guarantee and return the product. If you do see some improvement, however, we recommend that you stay with the program for 3-6 months to receive the desired results.”
My own thoughts are it has been 21 days for your daughter, so not yet 30. I am sure as a concerned parent you are already watching her diet closely and she is getting plenty of exercise, so let’s hope she will respond soon. If she doesn’t, there are other natural ADHD medicines that may prove to be the one that helps your daughter.
Help – Can I use Synaptol in conjuction with Ritalin for the 1st month.
Hi Lynn,
On the official Synaptol website, there is a FAQ that asks: “Can I safely take Synaptol with medications?”
The answer is: “The ingredients in Synaptol are natural and safe, but if you are currently taking prescription medications, we recommend you consult your health care professional before use.”
No-one can give legally give you any advice as only your doctor knows your medical history. If I knew the makers of Synaptol could answer, I would ask them for you. Sorry I can’t be more helpful Lynn.
Is this OK to take while pregnant?
Will it cause birth defect?
Side effects?
Hi Christina, as the makers of Synaptol are not your health care professional it is always recommended that anyone pregnant or breastfeeding consult with their own doctor. Sorry I can’t be more helpful. – Jennifer
