Finding The Best Detox Cleansing Diet For Weight Loss and Health
If you’re thinking of starting a detox diet, then you need to have the best plan for you, plus know how to do your body detoxification the right way so that you reap all the benefits and not suffer from any negative side effects.
Therefore, you need to know that a detox cleansing diet is a means of cleaning all the toxins from your body in an effort to not only cleanse the colon and possibly lose weight, but also alleviate problems such as acne, and a weak immune system.
You should know that there are times when you shouldn’t begin a detox diet plan. If you suffer from certain pre existing health conditions, you might find that embarking on a cleansing diet will actually make your health concerns worse. So make sure you get advice from your health care professional to make sure you are not putting yourself at any health risks.
When You Should Not Go On A Detox Cleansing Diet
Children and pregnant women should never consider starting a detox diet plan. These are times when as much nutrition as possible is needed to feed the body and prevent illness and allow for growth. If you are pregnant, you shouldn’t ever go on any type of cleansing diet and it is simply irresponsible to put a child on a detox diet. If you have a child who is overweight, there are other ways to work with their diet and encourage exercise to stimulate weight loss.
Also, if you suffer from illnesses such as cancer, diabetes or any other health issue that has caused your immune system to be weakened or compromised, you should not consider a detox diet. If you have problems such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome, you should be careful of what type of cleansing diet you choose, as it can often serve to make your condition worse than if you didn’t go on a cleaning diet of any kind.
It’s Time To Begin Your Detox Diet Plan
If you are healthy enough to embark on a detox cleansing diet, the first thing you need to do is choose how you will be dieting to reach your goals. If you are new to the whole idea of a cleansing diet, you may want to choose a diet plan which is gentler to your system.
Usually, a gentle detox diet has to do with modifying the foods you eat so that you are eating “clean” foods, such as fresh fruits and veggies, while adding supplements such as fiber and herbs to “cleanse” your system. In many cases, these are the easiest types of detox diets and you can use specially blended herbal teas to help you in your quest for a healthier system.
If you are further along in the ‘detox diet way of life’ you might be considering colon hydrotherapy or a liver flush, but you should know that these can be potentially dangerous if you don’t do them correctly, so it’s a good idea to choose these methods only if you are an experienced ‘detoxer.’
As with any form of diet, your body will be feeling hungry and you might suffer from side effects such as crankiness, fatigue and irritability. For this reason, you shouldn’t be on a detox diet for too long or you may begin to feel light headed and have trouble thinking.
For best results, consider using a body detoxification diet for no more than two weeks and make sure that you are getting some form of nutrition and hydration to ensure that your health doesn’t suffer.
A detox diet can be a wonderful way to keep your system healthy and functioning well, but only if you know how to properly get going on your diet plan so that you don’t suffer from any ill effects. If you are considering taking on any kind of cleansing diet, start slowly and work your way up. Don’t do detox diets continually or for too long, as you might undo all the good you set out to achieve.

Hello Jennifer,
You have an excellent resource for people to learn about Natural healing. The ebook about music therapy was informative.
I have used a gentle blend of herbs ( detox tea ) that keeps all the soft tissues of my body clean for 6 years now. I remember when I first started using the ‘tonic’ and did notice some built up toxins leave my body. I have been regular ever since I started using the tonic.
I also have done the lemon and honey cleanse for one day. Looking forward to reading some more of your pages and posts!

Hi Danielle,
Thank you for your lovely words…and I am so happy you liked the ebook!
Your herbal tea sounds wonderful and extremely beneficial. Was the lemon and honey cleanse detox you started, the ‘Master Cleanse’ that is so popular?
