pH Miracle Diet – The New Trend in Weight Loss

You may have heard of the pH Miracle Diet if you are a dieter. Having excess weight is one of the most common complaints that people have these days about their bodies. Many of us have tried several kinds of diets, only to end up even heavier than we were at the beginning.

Recently, research scientist Dr. Robert Young has developed a new kind of diet that is now considered by many as the new trend in weight loss. This diet, popularly known as the pH miracle diet or the Young Diet, revolves around the fact that the human body is more alkaline than acidic. It is therefore only natural that we should consume more alkaline foods. While moderate intake of acidic foods such as sugar, caffeine and animal protein is perfectly fine, going beyond a certain level will only upset the natural pH level in our bodies. This prevents the body from getting the maximum benefits from alkaline minerals like calcium, potassium and magnesium.

When this happens, the body becomes weaker and more prone to chronic illnesses. It also increases the likelihood of gaining excessive weight. Nutritionists all over the world agree that an increased intake of fresh fruits and vegetables and a healthy diet is an essential part of healthy weight loss. The pH miracle diet follows this concept as well. It further emphasizes that by avoiding acidic foods, you can enjoy many other health benefits in addition to losing excessive weight.

The most striking difference between the pH miracle diet and most other diets we have known is the non inclusion of whole wheat products in the list of good foods. According to Dr. Young, the acid content in wheat, oats, rice and other grains are not beneficial to our bodies. However, alkaline-rich grains like buckwheat, spelt and quinoa can be included in the diet.

Another distinguishing characteristic of the pH miracle diet is the absence of meat and dairy products due to their acidic content. Goat’s milk, however, is considered a good source of protein because its pH level is slightly alkaline. You can also get protein from beans, seeds, nuts and soya products.

Switching from a regular diet to the pH miracle diet may be hard in the beginning, especially if you are used to eating fast foods and processed foods. However, the health benefits that you can gain will make it all worth the effort.

The pH miracle diet is still a relatively new diet. Its benefits and effects are being studied closely by nutrition experts at the John Hopkins’ University and they have yet to issue an official statement regarding the diet. However, the people who have been using it have all reported positive changes in their bodies within just a few weeks.
